6. Turn the engine off and wait for
three minutes. Recheck the oil
level with the engine oil dipstick.
The oil level should be at the “F”
(full) level. If it is lower than the “F”
level, add oil until it reaches the
“F” level. Inspect the area around
the drain plug for leaks.
FINAL REDUCTION GEAR BOX OIL
Inspect and change the final reduc-
tion gear box oil according to the
schedule in the MAINTENANCE
CHART. When changing the oil, use
oil with an API (American Petroleum
Institute) classification of SF/SG or
SH/SJ, or with a JASO classification
of MA.

the oil level.
1. Park the vehicle on level ground.
2. Remove the right frame side cover
and magneto cover 1.
