Lithium-ion battery
This battery is installed only in model
equipped with the HYBRID and is located
under the front passenger’s seat (under
the underseat container).
• The lithium-ion battery is maintenance-
free. However, in order to avoid a flat
battery, drive the vehicle once a month
for at least 30 minutes to recharge the
battery.
• When replacing or disposing of the lith-
ium-ion battery, consult an authorized
SUZUKI dealer or a qualified workshop.
Check the exhaust pipe

Periodically check the exhaust pipes for
holes or cracks.
NOTICE
Since this vehicle uses a lead-acid
battery specifically for the high-effi-
ciency idling stop system, observe
the following precautions. Failure to
observe these precautions may
result in a malfunction of the system
or a shortened battery life.
• When replacing the battery, only
use the specified type. (Do not use
any other type of battery.)
• Do not connect electrical accesso-
ries to the terminals.
WARNING
Since mishandling the lithium-ion
battery may cause a fire or electric
shock or damage to the battery,
observe the following precautions.
• Do not remove or disassemble it.
• Do not allow it to get wet, for exam-
ple, with water.
• Do not expose it to a strong impact.
• Do not lean or place any object on
it.
• Do not disconnect the cable at the
battery or connect electrical acces-
sories to the terminals.
WARNING
If leaks in exhaust pipes are present,
exhaust gas could enter the vehicle
and possibly cause carbon monoxide
poisoning. If you feel that something
is abnormal, consult an authorized
SUZUKI dealer or a qualified work-
shop.
