6) Remove the jump leads in the exact
reverse order in which you connected
them.
Running out of battery
In the following cases, the lead-acid
battery is running out.
The starter does not engage when
attempting to turn on the engine. Or, the
starter rotation is too weak to make the
engine start.
The headlight illumination is extremely
low or the horn volume is low.
If you get a flat tyre while
driving
Firmly hold the steering wheel and care-
fully apply the brakes to slow down the
vehicle and stop it in a safe place.
WARNING
Never connect the jump lead directly
to the negative (–) terminal of the dis-
charged battery, or an explosion may
occur.
CAUTION
Connect the jump lead to the engine
mount bolt securely. If the jump lead
disconnects from the engine mount
bolt because of vibration at the start
of the engine, the jump lead could be
caught in the drive belts.
