NOTE:
• Recycle or properly dispose of used
oil.
• Before starting the work, check that
there is not any dust, mud, or foreign
object inside the oil container or on
the oil filter mounting surface.
4. Remove the left side fairing by refer-
ring to the FAIRING REMOVAL sec-
tion.

CAUTION
Hot engine oil and exhaust pipes can
burn you.
Wait until the oil drain plug and
exhaust pipes are cool enough to
touch with bare hands before drain-
ing oil.
NOTICE
Turning the engine while draining the
engine oil will cause a reduced coat-
ing of parts and adversely affect the
engine.
Do not use the electric starter switch
during engine oil replacement.
