Shut down the Synology DiskStation and disconnect all cables. Remove the top case screws and lift off the case.
Align the module's notch with the slot notch, tilt the card, and push firmly until it clicks into place.
Replace the top case and tighten the screws that were removed during the preparation phase.
Start up the DiskStation, log into DSM, and check 'Total Physical Memory' in Information > Status.
Follow steps to remove the DiskStation's top case, similar to the installation process.
Push levers outward to release the module, then hold by notches and remove it from the slot.
Reattach the top case and secure it by tightening the screws that were previously removed.
