Problem
The machine is not set
level during operation.
Uneven stubble.
Stripes in the stubble.
Stubble too high.
Uneven swath.
Stubble not parallel with
ground.
Too little conditioning
effect.
Packing of crop on the
right hand and/or left
hand side.
Problem/Fault Analysis and Correction
Correction
Adjust the balancing springs.
Increase forward speed.
Increase the r.p.m. of the P.T.O./
engine speed.
Turn knives or replace them.
Adjust the balance springs.
Check the gearbox.
Change the inclination angle of the
cutterbar.
Remove high cut skids.
Note: The field must be clear of stones.
Increase the forward speed.
Fit throwing wings on the cutting
discs.
Adjust the conditioning rotor's
speed to 900 r.p.m.
Fit adjustable lower right hand con-
necting rod.
Adjust the conditioning rotor's
speed to 900 r.p.m.
Adjust deflector plates.
Adjust the lifting cylinders.
Move the front plate nearer to the
