▍Squelch Function
The principle of setting the squelch level depends on the environment
and requirements of use.
When a longer communication distance is required, and the received
signal becomes weaker, a higher receiver sensitivity is needed, and thus
the squelch level should be lowered;
For example, setting the squelch level to 1.
For shorter communication distances with stronger received signals, the
receiver sensitivity can be lowered, and the squelch level increased to
reduce noise;
For example, setting the squelch level to 9.
If interruptions are noticed during a conversation, indicating weak
reception or changes in communication distance resulting in inaudible
speech, the squelch level should be decreased to enhance sensitivity;
For example, adjusting from squelch level 8 to 2.
