HACCP CHECK
HACCP stands for “Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points” and
is a management system used for food safety in professional
food service environments.
The HACCP Check feature is incorporated in this thermometer to
easily indicate critical temperature zones. The icons and LED
indicators located above the display indicate if a food product
stays in the safe or unsafe HACCP “Danger Zone” temperature.
A Green LED (left) appears with the “ “ icon to indicate a safe
cool or frozen condition below 40°F (4°C) or appears with the
“ icon (right) to indicate safe holding temperatures above
140°F (60°C).
When the temperature is between 40°F and 140°F (4°C and
60°C), the Red LED (middle) with the “ “ icon will appear and
indicate that the temperature has fallen within the HACCP
“Danger Zone”.
