Complete the Initial Setup
The menu system in your TV allows all of the TV’s features to work properly. The rst time you turn
on your TV, the Initial Setup Wizard opens, which guides you through the setup process, including
Language, TV Location, Time Zone, Tuner and Channel Scan.
Set the Menu Language
The rst step of the setup requires you to select your
preferred language for the menu system. If English is
your preferred language, press the OK button on the
remote control. To select another language use the
down arrow button (
) until that language is selected
then press OK or the right arrow button ( ) to proceed
to the next screen.
Set the TV Location Mode
After choosing the language, a menu screen asks you to
set the TV Location.
• Choosing “Home” for the TV Location assigns
the optimal picture settings for most home
environments.
• Choosing “Retail,” which is not Energy Star
compliant, sets the unit up with predened
settings for retail displays. In this setting, the power
consumption may exceed the requirements of the
Energy Star® qualication.
Use the up or down arrow ( ) to select the desired
location setting (Home/Retail); then press the OK button
or right arrow ( ) to continue to the next screen.
Set the Time Zone
Use the up or down arrows ( ) to select the current
local time zone. Press the OK button or right arrow ( )
to continue to the next screen.
