Whats in the Box

Before Use

Placement of the Unit

Avoid placing the unit in high temperature environments or on devices that generate heat.

Maintenance

Wipe the unit with a soft cloth or diluted mild liquid soap. Disconnect power before cleaning.

Sound Etiquette

Be mindful of music volume to avoid disturbing others and ensure a pleasant listening environment.

Connections

Analog Audio Output Terminals

Connect the XLR or RCA terminals to a stereo amplifier or speakers for 2-channel analog audio signals.

Digital Audio Input Terminals

Connect to digital audio output terminals using RCA coaxial or optical digital cables.

USB Input Terminal

Inputs digital audio from a personal computer via USB. Requires dedicated TEAC driver software.

Power Cord Connector

Connect the supplied power cord to the unit and then to the AC wall socket. Use only the provided cord.

Identifying the Parts

POWER Button

Turns the unit on and off. Indicator lights blue when the unit is on.

SOURCE Button

Changes the input source. The selected source indicator lights up.

Input and Frequency Indicators

Indicate selected source and sampling frequency. Blink if signal is incompatible or absent.

PHONES and PHONES LEVEL

Headphone terminal and volume control. Adjust volume gradually after setting to minimum.

Playback

Power On

Press the POWER button to turn the unit on. Turn on connected amplifier last.

Select Source

Press SOURCE button repeatedly to select USB, COAXIAL, or OPTICAL input.

Start Playback

Start playback on the source device and adjust volume on the audio player.

Playing Back Music Files Stored on a Computer

Install TEAC Driver Software

Download and install dedicated TEAC driver software from the website before connecting the unit via USB.

Connect to Computer

Connect the unit to the computer using a USB cable and turn on the computer and unit.

Start Music Playback

Select 'USB' source, start playback on the computer, and adjust volume using the amplifier.

USB Playback Notes

Avoid operations like disconnecting USB or changing source during playback to prevent computer irregularity.

Troubleshooting

No Power

Check AC power source connection and ensure the switch is turned on. Test outlet with another device.

Unit Not Recognized by Computer

Verify computer OS compatibility and ensure dedicated driver software is installed.

Noise During Playback

Avoid running other applications during playback. Connect directly to computer, not via USB hub.

Music Files Cannot Be Played

Set input to 'USB' before starting playback software. Ensure driver is installed and restart software if needed.
