This document describes the Technics remote control transmitter, models EUR644348, EUR644347, and EUR644346, designed to operate a range of Technics audio-visual equipment. The remote control is compatible with SA-EX410, SA-EX310, and SA-EX110 receivers, as well as various compact cassette decks, CD changers (and CD players), TVs, VCRs, and laser disc players, provided they are equipped with a remote control sensor.

Function Description:

The remote control serves as a universal controller for Technics components, allowing users to manage power, input sources, audio settings, and playback functions across multiple devices.

Basic Operations for Receiver:

• Power ON/OFF: The "POWER" button toggles the receiver's power. Once the power is set to ON, subsequent presses of "POWER" will turn it ON or OFF.
• Input Source Selection: Dedicated buttons for "TUNER," "CD," "TAPE," "MONITOR," "TV/DVD," "VCR," and "VDP" allow users to select the desired audio or video input. For SA-EX110, "TV/DVD" corresponds to the "TV" button. Note that "PHONO" cannot be selected with this remote control. Selecting "TAPE MONITOR" activates the tape monitor function, and pressing it again or another input select button turns it off.
• Muting: The "MUTING" button mutes the sound. When activated, the message "MUTING ON NOW" scrolls across the display. Pressing it again restores the original volume.
• Volume Adjustment: The "VOLUME +" and "VOLUME -" buttons adjust the sound level.

Dolby Pro Logic Operations (SA-EX410/EX310 only):

• Dolby Pro Logic ON/OFF and Mode Selection: The "DOPRO LOGIC" button cycles through "SURROUND" and "3 STEREO" modes.
• Test Signal Output: The "TEST" button outputs a test signal when "SURROUND" or "3 STEREO" mode is ON. Pressing it again stops the test signal.
• Center/Surround Speaker Output Level Adjustment: When "SURROUND" or "3 STEREO" mode is ON, "CH SELECT" allows selection between center (C) and surround (S) channels, and "CH LEVEL +"/"CH LEVEL -" adjusts their output levels. Note that the center channel cannot be selected when "SURROUND" mode is on "PHANTOM," and the surround channel cannot be selected when "3 STEREO" mode is ON.
• Dolby Pro Logic OFF/ON: The "OFF/ON" button toggles Dolby Pro Logic on and off.

SFC Operations (SA-EX410 only):

• SFC ON/OFF and Mode Selection: The "SFC" button cycles through "HALL," "CLUB," "LIVE," "SIMULATED," and "THEATER" modes.
• Center/Surround Speaker Output Level Adjustment: When SFC mode is ON, "CH SELECT" allows selection between center (C) and surround (S) channels. The center channel can only be selected in "THEATER" mode. "CH LEVEL +"/"CH LEVEL -" adjusts their output levels.
• SFC OFF/ON: The "OFF/ON" button toggles SFC on and off.

Radio Broadcast Operations:

• Tuner Mode Activation: The "TUNER" button switches the remote control to tuner operation mode.
• Sequential Channel Selection (Preset Tuning): The "CH SELECT +"/"CH SELECT -" buttons allow sequential selection of preset channels.
• Direct Channel Selection (Preset Tuning): Number buttons (0-9, ≥10) allow direct entry of preset channel numbers within 10 seconds.
• Direct Frequency Selection (Direct Tuning): After selecting FM or AM with the BAND button on the receiver, number buttons (0-9, ≥10) allow direct entry of frequencies within 10 seconds.

Cassette Deck Operations:

• Cassette Deck Mode Activation: The "TAPE MONITOR" button switches the remote control to cassette deck operation mode.
• Deck Selection (Double Cassette Decks): The "1/2" button (only for double cassette decks) toggles between DECK 1 and DECK 2. The remote control indicator on the cassette deck changes with each press.

• Start Play: The "PLAY" button (triangle) starts playback.
• Start Play from Desired Disc (5 CD Changer): Number buttons (1-5) select the desired disc.
• Start Play from Desired Disc (MEGA CD Changer): The "DECK 1/2" button selects the disc number. The ≥10 button does not respond for disc selection.
• Start Play from Desired Track: Number buttons (0-9, ≥10) allow direct entry of track numbers.
• Skip Track: The "SKIP BACKWARD" and "SKIP FORWARD" buttons (double arrows with vertical lines) skip tracks.
• Stop Play: The "STOP" button (square) stops playback.

TV Broadcast Operations (with just a TV):

• TV Mode Activation: The "TV/DVD" button (or "TV" for SA-EX110) switches the remote control to TV operation mode.
• TV Power ON/OFF: The "POWER" button turns the TV power ON or OFF.
• Set TV/VIDEO Mode to "TV": The "TV/DVD" button sets the TV/VIDEO mode on the TV to "TV."
• Channel Selection: "CH SELECT +"/"CH SELECT -" or number buttons (0-9) select the desired channel.

TV Broadcast Operations (with a VCR tuner):
