Turn
the
tuning

adjust

dial
pointer
near
the
frequency
of
the
desired
station.
Look
at
the
signal-strength
meter
and
tune
until
the
pointer
moves
to
the
maximum
position.

Tuning
control
Turn
the
tuning
control
slowly
until
the
main
dial
pointer
indicates
the
desired
FM
or
AM
broadcast
frequency.
Always
tune
for
the
highest
possible
signal-strength
meter®
reading,
which
indicates
the
optimum
receiving
position.
This
will
assure
clear,
undistorted
reception,
minimum
inter-
ference
from
adjacent
stations,
and
maximum
left-right
channel
separation
during
FM
stereo
broadcasts.
The
actual
value
of
the
signal-strength
meter®
reading
in
each
case
will
depend
on
the
signal-strength
of
that
particular
station.
When
the
FM
center-tuning
meter®
needle
is
at
the
center,
reception
is
optimum.
Turn
the
tuning
knob
slowly
to
left
and
right
until
the
FM
center-tuning
meter®
needle
points
to
the
center
position.

For
reception

FM
broadcasts.
“AM”:
For
reception
of
AM

Set
to

unpushed

adjusting
the
recording
level
of
the
tape
deck
for
tape
recording.

interlocked.
When
one

pushed,
the
others
will
become

indicator
This
indicator
is
illuminated
in
red
when
the
dial
pointer
tunes
to
a
station
broadcasting
in
multiplex
stereo.
if
the
Muting/FM
mode
button

is
set
to
the
'‘off/mono”’
position,
the
stereo
indicator
lamp
will
not
illuminate
even
though
the
broadcast
is in
stereo.

to

however,
that

then

received
