> Confi rm it with OK.
The system will then ask you whether you want to add the found
channels to the list of favourites.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to select Yes to add the
channels to the list of favourites and confi rm with OK.
> You can return to normal mode by pressing the Menu button.
8.2 Extended search
In order to search in one reception area only, select the Extended
search option.
> Open the program search menu as described in Section 8 and
select Extended search.
Source
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Source item and
then use the right/left arrow buttons to choose whether you
want to search for analogue stations or channels (FM Radio or
Analogue CT) or digital channels (DVB-S, DVB-C or DVB-T).
The subsequent input options depend on which source you have
chosen. These are as follows:
Broadcast area
(FM Radio, Analogue CT)
You have the option of selecting a broadcast area for the search.
The stations and channels that are found are sorted after the search
according to broadcast area.
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Broadcast area
item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to enter the broadcast area in
which you are located.
Search mode
(DVB-S, DVB-C, DVB-T)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Search mode
item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to specify whether you only
want to receive freely receivable channels (Free only) or also
encrypted channels (All).
Satellite (DVB-S)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Satellite item.
> If you click on the OK button a window opens containing the
confi gured satellites.
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to select the satellite that you
want to scan and confi rm with OK.
Search method
(DVB-C, DVB-T)
Choose between Channel search and Frequency search in this
item.
> To do so, use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Search
method item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to select the desired search
method.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to select the desired search
method.
Start search
> To start the search, press the green Start search function
button.
The search can take over 15 minutes. Please also take note of
the on-screen information. A message appears on-screen after
the search.
> Confi rm it with OK.
The system will then ask you whether you want to add the found
channels to the list of favourites.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to select Yes to add the
channels to the list of favourites and confi rm with OK.
> You can return to normal mode by pressing the Menu button.
8.3 Manual search / changing the channel name
If a channel cannot be found during the automatic search or during
the extended search it might be necessary to carry out a manual
search for this channel.
> Open the program search menu as described in Section 8 and
select Manual search.
Source
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Source item and
then use the right/left arrow buttons to choose whether you
want to search for an analogue station or channel (FM Radio or
Analogue CT) or digital channels (DVB-S, DVB-C or DVB-T).
8.3.1 Searching manually for an analogue channel or station
(Analogue CT / FM Radio)
Channel
(only for Analogue CT)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Channel item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons or the numerical keypad to
set the desired channel.
Frequency
(only for FM Radio)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Frequency item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to set the desired frequency.
Channel type
(only for Analogue CT)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Channel type
item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to set the channel type
(standard television channel E or special channel S).
Fine tuning
(only for Analogue CT)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Fine tuning
item.
> Use the right/left arrow buttons to adjust the fi ne tuning until
you obtain an optimum picture and optimum sound.
Norm
(only for Analogue CT)
> Use the up/down arrow buttons to mark the Norm item.
> Set the television norm (standard) for the receiving channel. (B/
G, D/K, I(+), L(L))
