  If there is no gas to the main burner of your Temco Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to several reasons: * Low gas pressure: Adjust the inlet pressure regulator to supply gas within the manufacturer's design parameters (typically 7”NG, 11”LPG) with the main burner functioning. * Pilot not lit: Light the pilot and wait for the thermo-generator to heat up. If the pilot fails to light or hold, consult the relevant sections in the manual. * Control knob position: Ensure the OFF/PILOT/ON control knob is in the ON position.

How to troubleshoot thermo-generator output voltage on Temco DV1000MBN?

  If the thermo-generator output voltage of your Temco Indoor Fireplace is not within design parameters, after lighting the pilot for about three minutes with only the thermo-generator wire connected, measure the voltage across TPTH and TP. The open circuit voltage should be between 500mV and 750mV. Adjust the pilot adjustment screw until the mV reading falls within these parameters (counter-clockwise increases mV, clockwise decreases). If you can't meet the minimum requirements, replace the thermo-generator.

  If the thermostat/wall switch of your Temco Indoor Fireplace will not cycle the main burner because of a defective wall switch, repeat the troubleshooting steps covered under “Defective thermostat or thermostat wiring”, but substitute the words “wall switch” where the word “thermostat” appears in the instructions. Also, check the following: * Excessive wire resistance: Make certain that all mV connections are made using wire of the proper size. * Valve wiring: Thermo-generator leads must be connected to the TPTH and TP connections of the main operator. Thermostat wires must be connected to the TPTH, and TH terminals of the valve.

  If the main burner of your Temco Indoor Fireplace lights in the PILOT position, there could be a few reasons: * Main operator coil defective: Remove all wires from the operator head. Measure electrical resistance between TP and TH terminals with an Ohm meter. If the resistance doesn't meet specifications, replace the valve. * Debris on the seat of the main valve: Replace the valve. * Main seat blown out: Replace the valve if the main seat is blown out due to unregulated LPG line pressure exceeding 15 PSI.
