large Logic Board. То verify correct installa-
tion, turn off the POWER switch and remove
the power supply cable. After waiting a min-
ute or two, reconnect the power supply and
turn the POWER switch back on. The PARA-
GON should power up on the same frequency
that it was on when you removed power and
the clock should not have lost any time. If eve-
rything is correct, replace the top cover.
An alkaline battery will provide approxi-
mately 150 hours of backup if power is re-
moved, otherwise the battery will last for it's
shelf life. If the transceiveris not to be used for
long periods of time, it is recommended that
the battery be removed to prevent possible cor-
ro sion. When using a 9 volt Ni-Cad battery,
the power supply should be turned on at least
three to four hours per week to keep the battery
trickle charged.
