WEEKLY
Check belt for wear. Replace if worn.
Check blades for wear. replace as required.
Change engine oil as required.
Check for loose nuts and bolts. Tighten as required.
CHANGING BLADES
Be sure spark plug is disconnected before changing the blades.
Make certain that the machine is on a flat surface and the blades are flat.
Remove bolts and lock washers on each trowel arm and remove the used blades.
Before installing the new blades, clean all concrete / cement form the bottom and sides of
the trowel.
Install new blades, securing all bolts and lock washers.
TROWEL ARM ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
1. Mount trowel arm assemblies onto
attaching blade disc item #6. refer to
drawing.
2. Set pitch so that blades, item #1 are
sitting flat.
3. Loosen off jam nut item #3.
4. Adjust carriage bolt item #4 so that it
is touching the bottom of the plate.
5. Tighten jam nut against the carriage
bolt. NOTE: It is vitally important
that once the carriage bolt is
adjusted to the proper height, it
does not move before or during the
tightening of the jam nut.
6. Repeat the procedure for remaining
blades. Ensure that all connections
are secure before replacing the
floating disc and beginning any
further work with the machine.
CAUTION:
DUE TO THE WEAR PATTERN OF THE BLADES THEY TEND TO BE
EXTREMELY SHARP. WEAR HEAVY DUTY GLOVES DURING THE CHANGE
OPERATION TO AVOID CUTS.
