MAINTENANCE
Before carrying out any checks or
maintenance operations, disconnect the
power tool plug from the electric power
supply.
Check your power tool regularly before starting the
work.
Damaged cutting blades have to be repaired or
use with damaged blades.
After each cutting operation, clean the cutting blade
with a soft brush and a cloth with lubricating oil.
Spray a thin layer of protective oil onto the complete
blade.
Always keep the ventilation slots in the motor
housing clean.
Never clean or spray a machine with water. Clean
the motor housing only with a moist cloth and never
apply detergents or solvents! These could damage
the plastic parts of the machine. Finally, dry the motor
housing carefully.
Store the power tool with the Protective Blade Cover
Only use original accessories and spare parts.
Cleaning
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastic parts are susceptible to damage from various
types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by
their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, carbon dust,
etc.
Lubrication
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit
under normal operating conditions, therefore no further
lubrication is required.
Service hints
Store the power tool, operating Instructions and any
accessories in the original packaging. This way, you will
always have all the information and parts ready to hand.
WARNING: If the supply cord is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
cable (cord) is terminated with a UK approved mains plug
ASTA or BSI approved BS1362 fuse rated at 13A must be
used. If you change the mains plug, remove the fuse and
dispose of the the old plug safely and immediately after
cutting it from the power cable (cord).
The wires in the mains lead are colored in accordance
with the code:
Blue: NEUTRAL Brown: LIVE
As these colours may not correspond to the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed
as follows:
The wire coloured BLUE or BLACK must be connected to
the terminal marked with the letter N.
The wire coloured BROWN or RED must be connected to
the terminal marked with the letter L.
