Explanation of symbols
In this manual and/or on the machine the following
symbols are may used:
Keep a safety distance of at least 5 m
from bystanders.
Denotes risk of personal injury, loss of
life or damage to the tool in case of
non-observance of the instructions in
this manual.
In accordance with essential applicable
safety standards of European
directives.
Read instructions before operation.
Double insulation.
Remove plug from the main
immediately if the cable is damaged or
cut.
Do not expose to rain.
Wear safety goggles.
Wear ear protectors.
ELECTRICAL INFORMATION
Before using this appliance ensure that the voltage of
your electricity supply is the same as that indicated on
the rating plate of the appliance. In the UK this is 230-
240 volts.
WARNING! IF THE MAINS POWER CORD IS
DAMAGED IN ANY WAY IT MUST BE REPLACED
BY A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.
INTENDED USE AND REASONABLE
FORESEEABLE MISUSE
The hedge trimmer should only be used for trimming
hedges, bushes and shrubs. Other use of the trimmer, not
included in this manual, could damage the trimmer or
seriously injure the operator and is therefore expressively
excluded from the application range.
UNPACKING
The Package should include the following items:
Hedge trimmer
Handle guard
Protective blade cover
Instruction manual
Remove all packing materials and shipping devices if
applicable. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it,
do so having regard to any recycling regulations in your
area.
Make sure the delivery contents are complete and free
damage do not use the product but contact your nearest
Tesco store. Using an incomplete or damaged product
represents a hazard to people and property.
