NAVIGATING
If your Model S is equipped with the Tech Package option, touch the Nav icon to
display the navigation app.
To enter a destination, touch the search box and a keyboard appears. Use the
keyboard to type the destination, then touch ENTER. A list of matching destinations
are displayed, sorted by relevance and distance. Touch and drag the list to scroll up or
down. To choose a destination, touch an entry in the list or on the map. If your desired destination is not listed, touch the search bar again to change your
search information.
The touchscreen displays the route to your destination on the map and provides directions, travel time, distance, and estimated arrival time. The target
destination is marked on the map and directions are accompanied by spoken instructions. Depending on zoom level, you may not be able to see
the entire route, but as you drive, the map adjusts to show the current segment of the route. At any time during a navigation session, you can cancel
navigation or mute the spoken instructions. When a navigation route is active, the instrument panel also displays directions.

Touch the search box to display a keyboard
used to enter a specific destination. You
can also search for destinations by entering
business names, category names, etc.
Display a list of recent places you’ve searched
for, or navigated to.
Repeat the last search.
Zoom in and out. You can also pinch your
thumb and forefinger on the map to zoom
out or stretch to zoom in. To change the
map’s default magnification level, touch
CONTROLS > SETTINGS > APPS > MAPS
& NAVIGATION.
Switch between map and satellite views.
Touch and drag the map to display an area
outside of the current view.
Center the map on your current location.
If the results of a business you’re searching
for includes a phone number, you can press
CALL to dial the number automatically from a
Bluetooth-connected phone.
Turn the display of traffic on and off.
