Special Keys
FCTN
1
(DEL)
-
The
Delete
key
is
used to
delete
characters
from
the
program
line-
To
delete
characters,
position
the
cursor
(using
FCTN
-
or
FCTN
- )
over
the
character
you wish to delete, then
press
the
Delete
key.
When
yuu
press
the
Delete
key,
the
character
under
the
cur~~or
is
deleted
and
all
characten;
of
the
program
line
to
the right of
the
cursor
are
moved
one
position to
the
left.
The
cursor
does not move. A
blank
space
is
used to
fill
the position at
the
right
end
of
the
program
line
left
by
the
shifting
of
the
chal-acters.
FCTN
4
(CLEAR)
-
The
Clear
or
Break
key
has
two
functions,
depending
on
when
you
use
it.
When this key is
pressed
while a
program
is running, a
breakpoint
will be
taken
at
the
next
program
line to be
executed.
This
key
allows you to
temporarily
stop
a
program
while it is running.
Note
that
you
must
continue
to hold the
Break
key
until the
program
stops
running
When you
stop
running
a
program
using
the
Break
key, the
message
"BREAKPOINT
AT
line-number"
is
displayed.
The
prog;ram line
designated
by
the
line-number
has
not been performed. You
can
start
the
program
running
again
where
you stopped by
entering
the
CONTINU
E
command
.
When the
Clear
key
is
pressed
while typing
in
a
program
line. the
line scrolls up on
the
SCreen
and
is not entered.
This
key
has
additional functions in
Edit
Mode
and
in N
umber
Mode.
FCYN
3
(ERASE)
-
The
Erase
key
erases
the
entire
program
line which you
are
typing.
The
line is
110t
entered.
This
key
works
differently
in
Edit
Mode
and
N
umber
Mode.
SPACE
BAR
The
Space
Bar
moves
the
cursor
one positiun
to
the
right
each
time it
is
pressed_ If you move
the
cursor
over a
character
using
the
Space
Bar,
that
character
is
replaced
by
the
space
character.
