Baggage Strap Kit
The baggage straps are used to secure luggage or other cargo to prevent damage to
luggage or aircraft during ight. Install baggage straps in combination as required to
secure loose items. The baggage straps are supplied as loose equipment. Ask ight
crew about their normal location on the aircraft. See details below for operation.
Caution: Verify that straps and tie-down ttings are secure before ight.

Two Finger Holds
Center Spring
To install baggage straps:
1. Press center spring of tie-down tting
with thumb while pulling on the two nger
holds with ngers. Slide tie-down tting
into anchor plate and release spring.
2. Repeat for remaining tie-down straps and
ttings.
Note: Install straps in combination as
required to secure luggage/cargo.
3. Tighten straps by pulling loose ends of
straps through strap tensioners.
To remove baggage straps:
1. Loosen straps by pulling down on strap
tensioners. If straps are too tight, remove
tie-down ttings from anchor plates.
2. Remove tie-down ttings from anchor
plates by pressing center spring with
thumb while pulling on the nger holds
with ngers and sliding tie-down tting out
of anchor plates.
