Step 1
Unplug
Unplug your pump and lter.
Step 2
Connect a Discharge Hose
Connect a discharge hose to the backush outlet and
turn the dial from lter to clean.
Step 3
Plug the Pump In
Plug the pump in and pull the handle on the top of the
lter slowly. This compresses the lter media, aiding in
the discharge of debris. Do this for 60 seconds, or until
the water exiting the backush is clear.

Once Water is Clear, Unplug Pump
Once the water is clear, unplug the pump, remove the
discharge hose and cap the backush outlet.
Step 5
Plug Pump In
Restore power to both your pump and lter.
