5. Once the adjustments menu has been accessed, the rotary dial can be used to scroll through the
different settings and to make changes. Scroll to the desired setting and press in the rotary dial. The
current setting will appear on the right side of the red bar. It is then that the rotary dial can be used to
change the setting.
Load Defaults (Initial setup)
Load Defaults –
This menu option is used to quickly (one press) set up all of the other adjustable GCM2 parameters to
initialize a GCM2 to work with a specific model or type of GPU. It should be used at initial testing of a
new GPU, or in the event a GCM2 has to be replaced in the field.
It provides an automatic setup for all adjustable GCM2 parameters, listed separately below, to the
normal (default) pre-loaded settings used for that model of GPU, so that it is not necessary to
manually check and adjust every adjustable parameter, when installing or moving a new or changed
GCM2 into a GPU machine.
The LOAD DEFAULTS should be used first, for initial setup. It provides a “base line” setup in which all
of the adjustable parameters are set to the normal value for the type of GPU the GCM2 is installed
into.
The machine should then be tested to confirm correct operation, and the individual settings, listed
below, may be used if required to make any necessary subsequent adjustments to correct any issues
identified by test.
Note - The Load Defaults does not change the settings for a few specific calibration settings,
specifically AC Voltage Scaling, AC Current Scaling, DC Voltage scaling, DC Amps scaling and
Offset. These settings are pre-set at the factory test of each GCM2 and should not need adjustment.
Refer to the table below (“List of default settings supported” ) for the proper number to be used in this
setting.
