Why is my TOHATSU M 4C engine failing to start?

Several factors can cause a TOHATSU Outboard Motor engine to fail to start. It could be due to an empty fuel tank, which requires you to fill the fuel tank. Other potential causes include incorrect fuel system connections (check and correct them), air entering the fuel line (inspect for leaks and secure connections), a deformed or damaged fuel pipe (replace it), a closed air vent on the fuel tank (open it), or a clogged fuel filter, fuel pump, or carburetor (clean or replace the clogged components).
