betweenthewasherandthebedbaradjuster.
2.Securethebedbartoeachsideplatewiththebedbar
bolts(nutsonbolts)and6washers.
Note:Positionanylonwasheroneachsideofthe
side-plateboss.Placeasteelwasheroutsideeachofthe
nylonwashers(Figure32).
3.Torquethebedbarboltsto37to45N∙m(27to33
ft-lb).
Note:Tightenthelocknutsuntiltheoutsidesteel
washerstopsrotatingandendplayisremoved,butdo
notovertightenordeectthesideplates.Thewashers
ontheinsidemayhaveagap.
4.Tightenthespring-tensionnutuntilthespringis
collapsed,thenbackoff1/2turn(Figure33).
