2.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleanrag
(Figure34).

theenginewithoil.Whenaddingengine
oilorllingoil,theremustbeclearance
betweentheoillldeviceandtheoilll
holeinthevalvecoverasshowninFigure
33.Thisclearanceisnecessarytopermit
ventingwhenlling,whichpreventsoilfrom
overrunningintobreather.
