landscapingrock,orwoodchipsfromthecargobedof
themachine,someofthematerialthatyouunloaded
mayhavelodgedinthehingeareaofthetailgate.
Performthefollowingstepsbeforeclosingthetailgate.
1.Useyourhandstoremoveasmuchofthe
materialfromthehingeareaaspossible.
2.Rotatethetailgatetoapproximatelythe45°
position(Figure23).

UnderstandingtheLow
Battery-LevelAdvisories
Ifthebatterylevelbecomestoolow(i.e.,below5%),
alow-batteryadvisoryappearsonthedisplay.When
youareoperatingatthisbatterypercentage,drivethe
machinetoadesignatedbattery-chargingareaand
chargethebatteries;refertoChargingtheLithium-Ion
Batteries(page27).
StoppingtheMachine
Important:Whenstoppingthemachineon
anincline,usetheservicebrakestostopthe
machineandengagetheparkingbraketoholdthe
machineinplace.Usingtheacceleratortostall
themachineonthehillcanoverheatthemotoror
drainthebatteries.
1.Removeyourfootfromtheacceleratorpedal.
2.Slowlypressthebrakepedaltoapplytheservice
brakesuntilthemachinecomestoacomplete
stop.
