1.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Holdtheblade-controlbarat19cm(7-5/8inches)
fromthetopofthehandleasshownin

5.Pulldownonthecableconduittoremovetheslack

Alwaysmowwithasharpblade.Asharpbladecutscleanly
andwithouttearingorshreddingthegrassblades.
1.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Closethefuelvalvebymovingthefuel-valveleverto
theleft(Figure14).
4.Drainthegasolinefromthefueltank.
5.Tipthemachineontoitsrightside(aircleanerup)as
showninFigure27.

ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Inspectthe
mowerbladesforwearordamage.
Carefullyexaminethebladeforsharpnessandwear,especially
wheretheatandthecurvedpartsmeet(Figure28A).
Becausesandandabrasivematerialcanwearawaythemetal
thatconnectstheatandcurvedpartsoftheblade,check
thebladebeforeusingthemachine.Ifyounoticeaslotor
wear(Figure28BandFigure28C),replacetheblade;referto
RemovingtheBlade(page22).
