positions:OFF,RUN,andSTART(Figure129).
TheStandardControlModule(SCM)monitorstheoperationofthekeyswitch.
WhenthekeyswitchisintheONposition,theSCMpowerinputLEDmustbe
illuminated.IfthekeyswitchisintheSTARTposition,boththepowerinputand
startinputLEDsshouldbeilluminated.
TestingtheKeySwitch
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,settheparking
brake,andshutofftheengine.
2.Beforeyoudisconnectthekeyswitchfortesting,ensurethatyoutestthe
switchanditscircuitwiringasaSCMinput;refertoStandardControlModule
(SCM)(page6–3).
3.IftheSCMveriesthatthekeyswitchandcircuitwiringarefunctioning
correctly,nofurtherswitchtestingisnecessary.
