RemovingtheMixingBoxAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingdeck,shutoffthe
engine,settheparkingbrake,andremovethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removetherooffromthetopofthecabtogetaccesstothemixingbox
assembly;refertoRemovingtheRoofAssembly(page11–4).
3.Removethecoverfromthemixingboxassemblyasfollows:
A.Carefullyuseasmallprybartoraisetheheadofthepininthecenterof
eachrivetthatsecuresthemixingboxcover.
B.Lifttherivetsfromthecoverandmixingbox.
C.Removethemixingboxcover.
Note:Iftheheatercoreorblowerfanneedtoberemovedfromthe
mixingbox,theboxdoesnothavetoberemovedfromthecabheadliner.
RefertoHeatingComponents(page11–5)orBlowerFan(page11–12)
forinformationonremovingandinstallingthesecomponents.
4.Disconnecttheelectricalconnectorsfromthemixingboxwireharness.
5.RemovethemixingboxcomponentsasshowninFigure311andFigure312.

1.Installallthemixingboxcomponentsthatwereremoved(Figure311and
Figure312).
2.Ensuretoconnecttheelectricalconnectorstothemixingboxwireharness.
3.Securethecovertothemixingboxassemblyasfollows:
A.Positionthemixingboxcovertothemixingbox.Ensurethatthewire
harnessisroutedthroughrecessinsideofthemixingbox.
B.Withtherivetpininaraisedposition,inserttherivetsthroughthecover
andintotheholeinthemixingbox.Pressthepinintotherivettosecure
therivetinplace.
