4.Removethemixingboxcoverasfollows:
A.Carefullyuseasmallprybartoraisetheheadofthepininthecenterof
eachrivetthatsecuresthemixingboxcover.
B.Lifttherivetsfromthecoverandmixingbox.
C.Removethemixingboxcover.
5.Removethe7tapscrews(item7inFigure313)thatsecurethemount
bracketcovertothemountbracket.Liftthecoverandpositionitawayfrom
themountbracket.
6.Carefullylifttheheatercorefromthemountbracket.
7.Inspectthegasketsandinsulationinthemixingboxassemblyfortearsor
otherdamage.Replaceallthesealingcomponentsthatweredamaged.
InstallingtheHeaterCore
1.Carefullyinstalltheheatercoreintothemountbracketinthemixingbox.
2.Positionthemountbracketcovertothemountbracket.Securethecoverto
themountbracketwiththe7tapscrews(item7inFigure313).
3.Securethecovertothemixingboxassemblyasfollows:
A.Positionthemixingboxcovertothemixingbox.Ensurethatthewire
harnessisroutedthroughrecessinsideofthemixingbox.
B.Withtherivetpininaraisedposition,inserttherivetsthroughcoverand
intotheholeinthemixingbox.Pressthepinintotherivettosecure
therivetinplace.
4.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringremoval,connectboththeheater
hosestothetubesontheheatercore,andsecuretheheaterhoseswith
thehoseclamps.
5.Operatetheheatersystemtoensurethattherearenocoolantleaksinthe
headliner.
6.Securetherooftothetopofthecab;refertoInstallingtheRoofAssembly
(page11–4).
