4.Removescreenfrommachine;refertotheTractionUnitOperator’sManual.
CAUTION
Beforeopeninghydraulicsystem,operateallhydrauliccontrolsto
relievesystempressureandavoidinjuryfrompressurizedhydraulic
uid.
5.Disconnecthydraulichosesfromradiator.Positionhosesawayfromradiator.
6.Disconnectradiatorhoses(upperandlower)fromtheradiator.
7.Loosenhoseclampandremoveoverowhosefromradiatorllopening.
8.Removecoolantreservoirfrombracketonfanshroud.
9.Remove4bolts,4atwashers,and4locknutsthatsecurefanshroudto
radiator.Positionfanshroudawayfromtheradiator.
10.Supporttheradiatorassemblybeforelooseningmountingfasteners.
11.Removescrewsandangenutsthatsecureradiatortoradiatorsupport.
12.Carefullypullradiatorassemblyfromthemachine.Locateandretrieve
radiatorshim(item31inFigure14).Plugradiatorandhoseopeningsto
preventcontamination.
InstallingtheRadiator
1.Removeanyplugsplacedduringtheremovalprocedure.
2.Carefullypositionradiatorassemblytotheradiatorsupport.Placeradiator
shim(item31inFigure14)betweenradiatorandsupport.Secureradiator
withscrewsandangenuts.
3.Positionfanshroudtotheradiator.Securefanshroudtoradiatorwith4bolts,
4atwashers,and4locknuts.Ensurethataminimumof6.4mm(0.250
inch)clearanceexistsatallpointsbetweenshroudandfan.
4.Applyhydraulicthreadsealanttohydraulichosettingthreads.Connect
hydraulichosestoradiator.
5.Connectupperandlowerradiatorhoses.
6.Installcoolantreservoirtobracketonfanshroud.
7.Connectoverowhosetoradiatorllopeningandsecurewithhoseclamp.
8.Ensurethattheradiatordrainplugistight.Fillradiatorwithcoolant;referto
theTractionUnitOperator’sManual.
9.Installscreentomachine;refertotheTractionUnitOperator’sManual.
10.Closehood;refertotheTractionUnitOperator’sManual.
