whentractionpressureisabove1800psi.Rotatethe
screw(Figure63)clockwisetoincreasethepressureor
counterclockwisetodecreasethepressure.
Important:Tractionunitmustbeatoperating
temperaturewhenadjustinghydraulicpressure.

Every200hoursoperation,clearthemuferofcarbon
buildup.
1.Removethepipeplugfromtheclean-outportatthe
lowersideofthemufer.
Themufermaybehotandcouldcauseinjury.
Becarefulwhileworkingaroundthemufer.
2.Starttheengine.Plugthenormalmuferexitwitha
blockofwoodormetalplatesothattheexhaustow
willbeforcedoutoftheclean-outport.Continueto
blocktheexituntilcarbondepositsceasecoming
outoftheport.
Donotstandinlinewiththeclean-outport.
Alwayswearsafetyglasses.
3.Stoptheengineandreplacethepipeplug.
