3.Toaddoiltotheengine,locateanduseahoseand
funnelforaddingoil.
4.Addoilslowly,checkingthelevelwiththedipstick
frequentlyuntilthelevelreachestheupperholeon
thedipstick.Forthecorrectoiltypeandviscosity
touseindifferenttemperatureconditions,referto
ServicingtheEngineOilinEngineMaintenance.
Important:Addtheoilveryslowlyanddonot
blocktheopeningofthellerhole(
Figure49).
Ifyouaddoiltoofastorblockthehole,theoil
couldbackupandfoultheairintakes,causing
enginedamage.

5.Replacethedipstickandinstallthefrontengine
panel.
6.Starttheengineandrunitatidlefor5minutes.
7.Shutofftheengine.
8.Wait3minutesandchecktheoillevel.
9.Addoil,ifrequired,tobringtheleveltotheupper
holeonthedipstick.
10.Replacethedipstickand,llercap,andthefront
enginepanel.
11.Checkforleaks.
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilbecausethismaycauseenginedamage.
ChangingtheEngineOilFilter
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours
Every200hours
1.Draintheoilfromtheengine;refertoChangingthe
EngineOil.
Placeadrippanbeneaththeoildriptraytoreceive
oilfromtheoillterandoilpassagesintheengine.
2.Turntheltercounterclockwisetoremoveit
(
Figure51andFigure51).
Note:Disposeoftheoillterproperly.Recyclein
accordancewithlocalcodes.
3.Beforeinstallingthelter,lightlyoilthegasketon
thelterwithfresh,cleanoil.Screwthelteronby
handuntilthegasketcontactstheoillteradapter.
Tighten1/2to3/4turnmore.
4.Addoil;refertoAddingEngineOil.
