1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedpositionandsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
Important:Donotsubstituteautomotiveoil
lterorseverehydraulicsystemdamagemay
result.
3.Placeadrainpanunderlter,removetheoldlter
andwipethelteradaptergasketsurfaceclean
(Figure56).

4.Applyathincoattotherubbergasketonthe
replacementlter(Figure57).
5.Installthereplacementhydrauliclterontothelter
adapter.Donottighten.
6.Fillthehydraulictankwithhydraulicuiduntilthe
uidoverowsthelterandthenturntheoillter
clockwiseuntiltherubbergasketcontactsthelter
adapter,thentightenthelteranadditional1/2turn
(Figure57).
7.Cleanupanyspilleduid.
8.Adduidtothecoldlevelofthebafeinthe
hydraulictank.
9.Starttheengineandletitrunforabouttwominutes
topurgeairfromthesystem.Stoptheengineand
checkforleaks.Ifoneorbothwheelswillnotdrive,
refertoBleedingHydraulicSystem.
10.Rechecktheuidlevelwhiletheuidiswarm.The
uidshouldbebetweencoldandhot.
11.Ifrequired,adduidtothehydraulictank.Donot
overll.

Thetractionsystemisselfbleeding,however,itmaybe
necessarytobleedthesystemifuidischangedorafter
workisperformedonthesystem.
1.Raiserearofthemachinesowheelsareoffthe
groundandsupportwithjackstands.
2.Starttheengineandrunatlowidlespeed.Engage
theleverandtractionononesideandspinthewheel
byhand.
3.Whenthewheelbeginstospinonitsown,keepit
engageduntilwheeldrivessmoothly.(minimum
2minutes)
4.Checkthehydraulicuidlevelandaddasrequired
tomaintainproperlevel.
5.Repeatthisprocedureontheoppositewheel.
CheckingtheHydraulicHoses
ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Afterevery100operatinghours,checkthehydraulic
hosesforleaks,loosettings,kinkedlines,loose
mountingsupports,wear,weatherandchemical
deterioration.Makenecessaryrepairsbeforeoperating.
Note:Keepareasaroundthehydraulicsystemclean
fromgrassanddebrisbuildup.
