ServiceInterval:Every100hours
Inspectallbeltsevery100hours.
Checkbeltsforcracks,frayededges,burnmarksorany
otherdamage.Replacedamagedbelts.
ReplacingtheMowerBelt
Thesignsofawornmowerbeltaresquealingwhilethe
beltisrotating,bladesslippingwhileyouarecutting
grass,frayedbeltedges,burnmarks,andcracks.Replace
themowerbeltifyoudetectanyofthesesigns.
1.DisengagethePTO,movethemotioncontrollevers
totheneutrallockedposition,andsettheparking
brake.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforall
movingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Removethebeltcoversovertheoutsidespindles.
4.Loosenthexedidlerarmandadjustittorelievethe
belttensiononthexedidlerpulley(Figure49).

Note:Donotincreasethebelttensionbeyondthe
pointwherethexedidlerarmstops.
9.Whileholdingthebeltintension,tightenthe2bolts
thatsecurethexedidlerarm.
10.Removetheratchetorbreakerbarfromthesquare
holeinthexedidlerarm.
11.Installthebeltcoversovertheoutsidespindles.
ReplacingthePumpDriveBelt
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
Checkthepumpdrivebeltforwearafterevery50
operatinghours.
1.Removethemowerbeltrst;refertoReplacingthe
MowerBelt.
2.Removetheboltfromtheclutchstopandunplug
theclutchelectricalwire(Figure51).
3.Pullthespringloadedidlertotheside.
4.Removethetractionbeltfromtheengineandthe
hydraulicpumppulleys(Figure51).
5.Installthenewbeltaroundtheengineandthe
hydraulicpumppulleys(Figure51).
6.Pullthespring-loadedidlertothesideandalignthe
belt.
7.Releasethepressureonthespringloadedidler
(Figure51).
8.Installthemowerbelt.
