YourWarrantyRightsandObligations
TheCaliforniaAirResourcesBoard(CARB),theU.S.EnvironmentalProtectionAgency(EPA),andTheT oroCompany,arepleasedtoexplainthe
emissioncontrolsystemwarrantyonyour2012smalloff-roadengine.InCaliforniaandtheUnitedStates,newsmalloff-roadenginesmustbedesigned,
builtandequippedtomeettheState’sstringentanti-smogstandards.TheT oroCompanywarrantstheemissioncontrolsystemonyoursmalloff-road
enginefortheperiodoftimelistedabove,providedtherehasbeennoabuse,neglect,orimpropermaintenanceofyoursmalloff-roadengine.
Youremissioncontrolsystemmayincludepartssuchasthecarburetor,fuel-injectionsystem,theignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,fueltanks,fuellines,
fuelcaps,valves,canisters,lters,vaporhoses,clamps,connectors,andotherassociatedemission-relatedcomponents.
Whereawarrantableconditionexists,TheT oroCompanywillrepairyoursmalloff-roadengineatnocosttoyouincludingdiagnosis,partsandlabor.
Manufacturer’sWarrantyCoverage
TheT oroCompanyanditsafliate,ToroWarrantyCompany,pursuanttoanagreementbetweenthem,jointlywarrantthe2012smalloff-roadengine
fortwoyearsfromthedateofdelivery.Ifanyevaporativeemission-relatedpartonyourequipmentisdefective,thepartwillberepairedorreplace
byTheToroCompany.
OwnerResponsibilities
Asthesmalloff-roadengineowner,youareresponsiblefortheperformanceoftherequiredmaintenancelistedinyourOperator'sManual.We
recommendthatyouretainallreceiptscoveringmaintenanceonyoursmalloff-roadengine,butwecannotdenywarrantysolelyforthelackofreceipts.
Asthesmalloff-roadengineowner,youshouldhoweverbeawarethatwemaydenyyouwarrantycoverageifyoursmalloff-roadengineoraparthas
failedduetoabuse,neglect,impropermaintenanceorunapprovedmodications.
Youareresponsibleforpresentingyoursmalloff-roadenginetoanAuthorizedServiceDealerassoonasaproblemexists.Thewarrantyrepairsshould
becompletedinareasonableamountoftime,nottoexceedthirty(30)days.

GeneralEmissionsWarrantyCoverage
TheT oroCompanyanditsafliate,T oroWarrantyCompany,jointlywarranttotheinitialownerandeach
subsequentpurchaserthatthesmalloff-roadengineis:
Designedbuiltandequippedtoastoconformwithallapplicableregulations;and
Freefromdefectsinmaterialsandworkmanshipthatcausethefailureofawarrantedparttobeidenticalinallmaterialrespecttothatpartasdescribed
inTheT oroCompanyapplicationforcertication.
Thewarrantyperiodbeginsonthedatethesmalloff-roadengineisdeliveredtoanultimatepurchaser.Thewarrantedperiodistwoyears.
Subjecttocertainconditionsandexclusionsasstatedbelow,thewarrantyonevaporativeemissions-relatedpartsisasfollows:
1.Anywarrantedpartthatisnotscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssupplied,iswarranted
forthewarrantyperiodstatedabove.Ifthepartfailsduringtheperiodofwarrantycoverage,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedby
TheToroCompany.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.
2.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledonlyforregularinspectioninthewritteninstructionssuppliediswarrantedforthewarranty
periodstatedabove.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplacedunderthewarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderofthewarrantyperiod.
3.Anywarrantedpartthatisscheduledforreplacementasrequiredmaintenanceinthewritteninstructionssuppliedis
warrantedfortheperiodoftimebeforetherstscheduledreplacementdateforthatpart.Ifthepartfailsbeforetherst
scheduledreplacement,thepartwillberepairedorreplacedbyTheToroCompany.Anysuchpartrepairedorreplaced
underwarrantywillbewarrantedfortheremainderoftheperiodpriortotherstscheduledreplacementpointforthepart.
4.Repairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartunderthewarrantyprovisionshereinmustbeperformedatan
AuthorizedServiceDealeratnochargetotheowner.
5.Notwithstandingtheprovisionsherein,warrantyservicesorrepairswillbeprovidedatallServiceDealers
authorizedtoservicethesubjectenginesorequipment.
6.Thesmalloff-roadengineownerwillnotbechargedfordiagnosticlaborthatisdirectlyassociatedwithdiagnosisofa
defective,emission-relatedwarrantedpart,providedthatsuchdiagnosticworkisperformedatanAuthorizedServiceDealer.
7.TheT oroCompanyisliablefordamagestootherengineorequipmentcomponentsproximatelycausedbyafailureunderwarrantyofanywarrantedpart.
8.Throughoutthesmalloff-roadenginewarrantyperiodstatedabove,TheT oroCompanywillmaintainasupplyof
warrantedpartssufcienttomeettheexpecteddemandforsuchparts.
9.Manufacturerapprovedreplacementpartsmaybeusedintheperformanceofanywarrantymaintenanceorrepairsand
mustbeprovidedwithoutchargetotheowner.SuchusewillnotreducethewarrantyobligationsofTheT oroCompany.
10.Add-onormodiedpartsthatarenotapprovedbyTheT oroCompanymaynotbeused.Theuseofanon-approvedadd-onormodiedpart
bythepurchaserwillbegroundsfordisallowingawarrantyclaim.TheT oroCompanywillnotbeliabletowarrantfailuresofwarrantedparts
causedbytheuseofannon-approvedadd-onormodiedpart.
WarrantedParts
TherepairorreplacementofanywarrantedpartotherwiseeligibleforwarrantycoveragemaybeexcludedfromsuchcoveragewarrantyifTheT oro
Companydemonstratesthatthesmalloff-roadenginehasbeenabused,neglected,orimproperlymaintained,andthatsuchabuse,neglect,orimproper
maintenancewasthedirectcauseoftheneedforrepairorreplacementofthepart.Thatnotwithstanding,anyadjustmentofacomponentthathasafactory
installed,andproperlyoperation,adjustmentlimitingdeviceisstilleligibleforwarrantycoverage.Thefollowingemissionwarrantypartslistarecovered:
