1.Inspectthecuttingedges(Figure41).
Note:Iftheedgesarenotsharporhavenicks,remove
andsharpentheblades;refertoSharpeningtheBlades
(page34).
2.Inspecttheblades,especiallythecurvedarea(Figure
41).
Note:Ifyounoticeanydamage,wear,oraslot
forminginthisarea(item3inFigure41),immediately
installanewblade.

1.Raisethemowerdecktothehighestheight-of-cut

handprotection,slowlyrotatethebladetobemeasure
intoapositionthatallowseffectivemeasurementofthe
distancebetweenthecuttingedgeandthelevelsurface
themachineison(Figure42).
