2.Tightenthesparkplugto25to29N-m(18to22ft-lb).

CleaningtheBlowerHousing
Toensurepropercooling,makesurethegrassscreen,cooling
ns,andotherexternalsurfacesoftheenginearekeptclean
atalltimes.
Annually,orevery100hoursofoperation(moreoften
underextremelydusty,dirtyconditions),removetheblower
housing,andanyothercoolingshrouds.Cleanthecooling
nsandexternalsurfacesasnecessary.Makesurethatthe
coolingshroudsareinstalled.Torquetheblowerhousing
screwsto7.5N-m(5.5ft-lb).
Important:Operatingtheenginewithablockedgrass
screen,dirtyorpluggedcoolingns,and/orcooling
shroudsremoved,willcauseenginedamagedueto
overheating.

ignitethegasolinefumes.

Filter
ServiceInterval:Every100hours—Replacethein-linefuel
lter.
Neverinstalladirtylterifitisremovedfromthefuelline.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothepark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Locatethefuellteronthesideoftheengine(Figure
34).
