Washtheundersideofthemoweraftereachusetoprevent
grassbuildupforimprovedmulchactionandclipping
dispersal.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,anddisengagethe
blade-controlswitch.
2.Movethemotion-controlleversoutwardtothepark
position,stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitfor
allmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingtheoperating
position.
3.Attachthehosecouplingtotheendofthemower
washouttting,andturnthewateronhigh(
Figure61).
Note:Spreadpetroleumjellyonthewashouttting
O-ringtomakethecouplingslideoneasierandprotect
theO-ring.

5.Sitontheseatandstarttheengine.
6.Engagetheblade-controlswitchandletthemowerrun
for1to3minutes.
7.Disengagetheblade-controlswitch,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
Note:Waitforallmovingpartstostop.
8.Turnthewateroffandremovethecouplingfromthe
washouttting.
Note:Ifthemowerisnotcleanafteronewashing,
soakitandletitstandfor30minutes,thenrepeatthe
process.
9.Runthemachineandmowerbladesagainforoneto
threeminutestoremoveexcesswater.
10.Turnoffthemowerblades.
WARNING
Abrokenormissingwashoutttingcould
exposeyouandotherstothrownobjectsor
bladecontact.Contactwithbladeorthrown
debriscancauseinjuryordeath.
•Replacebrokenormissingwashouttting
immediately,beforeusingmoweragain.
•Neverputyourhandsorfeetunderthe
mowerorthroughopeningsinthemower.
