tothemowerblades.Thisswitchcontrolspowertoany
attachmentsthatdrawpowerfromtheengine,includingthe
mowerdeckandcuttingblades.
EngagingtheBlades
Important:Donotengagethebladeswhenthemachine
isparkedintallgrass.Beltorclutchdamagecanoccur.
Note:Alwaysengagethebladeswiththethrottleinthe
FASTposition.

1.Disengagethebladesbymovingtheblade-control
switchtotheOFFposition(Figure12).
2.MovethethrottlelevertotheSLOWposition.
Note:Runitatidlespeedforapproximatelyone
minute.
3.TurntheignitionkeytotheOFFpositionandremove
thekey.
DrivingtheMachine
Thedrivewheelsturnindependently,poweredbyhydraulic
motorsoneachaxle.Youcanturn1sideinreversewhileyou
turntheotherforward,causingthemachinetospinrather
thanturn.Thisgreatlyimprovesthemachinemaneuverability
butmayrequiresometimeforyoutoadapttohowitmoves.
WARNING
Themachinecanspinveryrapidly.Youmaylose
controlofthemachineandcausepersonalinjuryor
damagetothemachine.
Usecautionwhenmakingturns.
Slowthemachinedownbeforemakingsharp
turns.
Thethrottlecontrolregulatestheenginespeedasmeasured
inrpm(revolutionsperminute).Setthethrottlecontrolin
theFASTpositionforperformance.Formostapplications,
operatethemachineinthefull-throttleposition.
