1.Installthebladeontothespindleshaft(Figure55).
Important:Thecurvedpartoftheblademust
bepointingupwardtowardtheinsideofthe
mowertoensurepropercutting.
2.Installthespringdiskandbladebolt.Thespring
diskconemustbeinstalledtowardthebolthead
(Figure55).Torquethebladeboltto100-110ft-lb
(135-150N-m).
MowerDeckLeveling
Checktoensurethemowerdeckislevelanytimeyou
installthemowerorwhenyouseeanunevencuton
yourlawn.
Themowerdeckmustbecheckedforbentblades
priortoleveling;anybentbladesmustberemoved
andreplaced.RefertotheCheckingforBentBlades
procedurebeforecontinuing.
Themowerdeckmustbeleveledside-to-siderstthen
thefronttorearslopecanbeadjusted.
Requirements:
Themachinemustbeonalevelsurface.
Allfourtiremustbeproperlyinated.Referto
CheckingtheTirePressureintheDriveSystem
Maintenancesection.
CheckingSide-to-SideLevel
Themowerbladesmustbelevelfromsidetoside.
Checktheside-to-sidelevelanytimeyouinstallthe
mowerorwhenyouseeanunevencutonyourlawn.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurfaceanddisengage
thebladecontrolswitch.
2.Movethemotioncontrolleversoutwardtothe
neutrallockposition,stoptheengine,removethe
key,andwaitforallmovingpartstostopbefore
leavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Carefullyrotatethebladessidetoside.
4.Measurebetweentheoutsidecuttingedgesand
theatsurface(Figure58).Ifbothmeasurements
