ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
Formaximumbatterylife,drainthebatteriesaslow
aspossiblebeforeeachcharge.Chargethebatteries
immediatelyafterdepletingasubstantialamount
ofpower.Thebatterieswillproducemoreefcient
electricalproductionafteryouchargeanddeplete
themanumberofcycles.
Note:Normalchargetimeisapproximately11hours.
Important:Chargethebatteriesbetween0to
40°C(32to104°F).
WARNING
Chargingthebatteryproducesgasesthatcan
explode.
Neversmokenearthebatteriesandkeep
sparksandamesawayfromthem.
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,ina
well-ventilatedareanearasuitablepoweroutlet.
2.Disengagetheblade-controlswitchandengage
theparkingbrake.
3.Shutoffthemachine,removethekey,andwait
forallmovingpartstostopbeforeleavingthe
operatingposition.
4.Connectthechargertothechargingreceptacle
androtatetheplugclockwisetosecureit(Figure
24).
Note:Thechargeplugonlytsonthemachine
1way.
Note:Ensurethatthecharger-voltagesetting
matchesthevoltageatthepoweroutletbeing
used.
Note:Ifthebatterychargeristoohot,itmay
notchargeproperly.Incoldtemperatures,itmay
takealongerforthebatteriestocharge.
