1.Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmoving
partstostop;refertoPreparingtheMachinefor
Maintenance(page25).
2.Removethewingnutsecuringtheair-cleaner
cover(Figure29).
3.Removetheair-cleanercover.
Note:Ensurethatnodirtordebrisfromthe
air-cleanercoverfallintothebase.
4.Removethefoamandpaperelementsfromthe
base.
5.Removethefoamelementfromthepaper
element.
6.Inspectthefoamandpaperelements;replace
themiftheyaredamagedorexcessivelydirty.

theairductleadingtothecarburetor.
11.Installtheair-cleanerelementsandensurethat
theyareproperlypositioned.Installthelower
wingnut.
12.Installthecoverandinstalltheupperwingnut
tosecureit.
