Why won't my Toro Power Max 38624 Snow Blower engine start?
    • D
      Darrell PorterAug 9, 2025
There are several reasons why your Toro Snow Blower engine might not start. It could be due to the key not being in the ignition or in the Stop position, so ensure the key is inserted and turned to the On position. The choke might be in the Off position, so move it to the On position and press the primer 3 times. Also, check that the fuel shutoff valve is open and the throttle is in the Fast position. The fuel tank could be empty or contain stale fuel; in this case, drain and/or fill the tank with fresh gasoline. Inspect the spark plug wire to ensure it's connected and examine the spark plug for any damage or incorrect gap. Finally, verify that the fuel vent cap isn't restricted and that the engine oil level is correct.

How to fix a Toro Snow Blower engine that runs rough?
    • J
      Johnathan WhitneyAug 14, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower engine is running rough, here are a few things to check: Ensure the choke is in the Off position. Verify that the fuel shutoff valve is completely open. Drain and fill the fuel tank with fresh gasoline if it's nearly empty or contains stale fuel. Make sure the spark plug wire is securely connected to the spark plug. Inspect the spark plug for pitting, fouling, or an incorrect gap, and adjust or replace it as needed. Also, check the engine oil level in the crankcase and adjust it to the Full mark on the dipstick.

What to do if my Toro Power Max 38624 isn't throwing snow?
    • S
      Stacey ThompsonAug 19, 2025
If your Toro Snow Blower runs but doesn't discharge snow well, consider these points: Ensure the throttle is in the Fast position when throwing snow. If you're moving too fast, shift the snowthrower into a lower gear. Reduce the amount of snow you're trying to remove per swath, especially if it's heavy or wet. Make sure the discharge chute isn't plugged.

Why doesn't the electric starter on my Toro Snow Blower turn?
    • D
      Danielle ClarkAug 25, 2025
If the electric starter on your Toro Snow Blower isn't turning, first check that the power cord is properly connected to both the outlet and the snowthrower. If the cord is connected, inspect it for any signs of wear, corrosion, or damage, and replace it if necessary. Finally, ensure that the power outlet is energized; if not, have a qualified electrician check the outlet.
