partsmayfreeze.Donotuseexcessiveforcewhen

operatinganycontrolorpart,starttheengineandletit
runforafewminutes.
•Afterusingthemachine,lettheenginerunforafew
minutestopreventmovingpartsfromfreezing.Engage
theauger/impellertoclearanyremainingsnowfrom
insidethehousing.RotatetheQuickSticktopreventit
fromfreezing.Stoptheengine,waitforallmovingparts
tostop,andremovealliceandsnowfromthemachine.
•Withtheengineoff,pulltherecoilstarterhandleseveral
timesandpushtheelectric-starterbuttononcetoprevent
therecoilstarterandelectricstarterfromfreezingup.

Whenthemachineisinoperation,theimpellerand
augercanrotateandcutofforinjurehandsandfeet.
•Beforeadjusting,cleaning,inspecting,troubleshooting,or
repairingthemachine,stoptheengineandwaitforall
movingpartstostop.Disconnectthewirefromthespark
plugandkeepitawayfromtheplugtopreventsomeone
fromaccidentallystartingtheengine.
•Removeanobstructionfromthedischargechute;refer
toUncloggingtheDischargeChute.Ifnecessary,use
thesnowcleanouttool,notyourhands,toremovean
obstructionfromthedischargechute.
•Staybehindthehandlesandawayfromthedischarge
openingwhileoperatingthemachine.
•Keepface,hands,feet,andanyotherpartofyourbodyor
clothingawayfromconcealed,moving,orrotatingparts.
WARNING
Theimpellercanthrowstones,toys,andother
foreignobjectsandcauseseriouspersonalinjuryto
theoperatorortobystanders.
•Keeptheareatobeclearedfreeofallobjectsthatthe
augerscouldpickupandthrow .
•Keepallchildrenandpetsawayfromtheareaof
operation.
•AlwayssetthethrottletotheFastpositionwhenthrowing
snow .
•Iftheengineslowsdownunderaloadorthewheelsslip,
shiftthemachineintoalowergear.
