Why won't my Toro Snow Blower engine start?
    • K
      Kyle LeeAug 18, 2025
If the engine of your Toro Snow Blower does not start, several factors could be at play. Ensure the key is properly inserted and in the On position. Check that the choke is in the On position and the primer has been pressed 3 times. Verify the fuel shutoff valve is open and the throttle is in the Fast position. Also, make sure the fuel tank has fresh gasoline (not more than 30 days old). Inspect the spark plug wire to ensure it's securely connected, and check the spark plug itself for any damage or incorrect gap. Lastly, confirm that the fuel cap vent isn't restricted and that the engine oil level is correct.

What to do if Toro Snow Blower does not discharge snow properly?
    • J
      jessica95Aug 22, 2025
If your Toro snowthrower isn't discharging snow well, consider these points: * Ensure the throttle is in the 'Fast' position when throwing snow. * Try shifting to a lower gear, as you might be moving too fast. * Reduce the amount of snow you're trying to clear in each pass. * Avoid overloading the snowthrower with extremely heavy or wet snow. * If the discharge chute is plugged, refer to Unclogging the Discharge Chute on page 15. * For issues with the auger/impeller drive belt (loose, off the pulley, worn, or broken), refer to www.Toro.com for servicing information or take the snowthrower to an Authorized Service Dealer.

If your Toro snow blower engine is running rough, it could be due to: the choke being in the On position (move it to the Off position), the fuel shutoff valve not being completely open (open it fully), stale fuel or a nearly empty fuel tank (drain and fill with fresh gasoline, not more than 30 days old; if the problem persists, contact an Authorized Service Dealer), or a loose spark plug wire (connect the wire to the spark plug).
