  Several factors can cause your Toro Snow Blower engine to not start. Ensure the key is in the ignition. Check that the choke is in the ON position and the primer has been pressed 3 times. Make sure the fuel-shutoff valve is open and the throttle is in the FAST position. Also, verify that the fuel tank isn't empty or filled with stale fuel; if so, drain and refill with fresh fuel (not more than 30 days old). Check that the spark-plug wire is connected, and the spark plug isn't damaged or improperly gapped. Ensure the fuel-vent cap isn't restricted and the engine-oil level is correct.

  If your Toro Snow Blower engine runs rough, first ensure the choke is in the OFF position and the fuel-shutoff valve is fully open. Check the fuel tank to ensure it is not nearly empty or contains stale fuel; if so, drain and refill it with fresh fuel (not more than 30 days old). Inspect the spark-plug wire to confirm it is securely connected, and examine the spark plug for pitting, fouling, or incorrect gap. Also, verify that the engine-oil level in the crankcase is neither too low nor too high, adjusting as necessary to reach the Full mark on the dipstick.
