•Donothandlegasolinewhensmokingoraround
anopenameorsparks.
•Storegasolineinanapprovedfuelcontainer,out
ofthereachofchildren.
Fillthefueltankwithfreshunleadedregulargasolinefroma
majorname-brandservicestation(Figure7).
Useunleadedregulargasolinesuitableforautomotiveuse
(87pumpoctaneminimum).Leadedregulargasolinemaybe
usedifunleadedregularisnotavailable.
Note:Neverusemethanol,gasolinecontainingmethanol,or
gasolinecontainingmorethan10%ethanolbecausethefuel
systemcouldbedamaged.Donotmixoilwithgasoline.
Important:Toreducestartingproblems,addfuel
stabilizertothefuelallseason,mixingitwithgasoline
lessthan30daysold.

1.Removethedipstick,wipeitclean,andfullyinstallthe
dipstick(Figure8).

2.Removethedipstickandchecktheoillevel(Figure8).
IftheoillevelisbelowtheAddmarkonthedipstick,
slowlypouroilintotheoillltubetoraisetheoil
leveltotheFullmarkonthedipstick.Wait3minutes
afteraddingoiltochecktheoilwiththedipstick.Do
notoverll.(Max.ll:20oz.(0.59l),type:SAE30
detergentoilwithanAPIserviceclassicationofSF,
SG,SH,SJ,SL,orhigher.)
Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewithoil
andruntheengine.Draintheexcessoiluntilthe
oillevelonthedipstickreadsFull.
3.Installthedipsticksecurely.
AdjustingtheCuttingHeight
WARNING
Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyouinto
contactwiththemovingblade,causingserious
injury.
•Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingparts
tostop.
•Donotputyourngersunderthehousingwhen
adjustingthecuttingheight.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themuferwillbe
hotandcanseverelyburnyou.Keepawayfromthe
hotmufer.
