outoffuel,useahandfuelpumptoremove
thefuel.Alwaystipthemachineontoits
side,withthedipstickdown.

1.Pressdownonthelatchtabsontopofthe
air-ltercover(Figure31).

4.Inspectthefoampre-lter,andreplaceitifitis
damagedorexcessivelydirty.

orfuel,replaceit.
•Iftheairlterisdirty,tapitonahardsurface
severaltimesorblowcompressedairless
than207kPa(30psi)throughthesideofthe
lterthatfacestheengine.
Note:Donotbrushthedirtoffthelter;
brushingforcesdirtintothebers.
6.Removethedirtfromtheair-lterbodyandthe
coverusingamoistrag.
Important:Donotwipedirtintotheairduct.
7.Installthefoampre-lterandthepaperairlter
intotheairlter.
8.Installthecover.
